Janet and Ty are Engaged!

"In your eyes, I see my Soulmate. In your arms, I am at home. In our world, I've found a Love to last forever. " That quote defines Janet and Ty.

They met working at Target. He was the guy that all the girls wanted. Janet was quiet. So while everyone was checking out Ty, his eyes were on Janet. Their first date was at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Night and from there on they have never been apart. Their love was so obvious in every picture I took.

We spent the afternoon in Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena.

Janet is sweet and has the prettiest voice. Ty is always there to protect her and treats her like a princess. It's no wonder their wedding will be a fairy tale.

I loved hearing all of their plans and I loved the fact that Ty was just as involved and excited with the wedding.

Passion, true love...

Janet and Ty are the kind of couple who give you energy. You love to be around them. You spend time with them and you feel you've known them for years. You can't just be their photographer. You are their friend.

Peleo Ten Year Wedding Anniversary

Ten years of love and three adorable, talented children!

Edmond and Colita had their Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Ten years and the passion is still there. Edmond's blue eyes compliment Colita's dark brown ones!

For the reception, Colita wore an incredible blue dress!

I loved how the sun flared behind them and how the sky turned different shades of pink and blue.

They are a family of talented performers!

Denise and Dwight get married!

On May 30th, 2009 Denise and Dwight made their promise of love before family and friends. It was Dwight's sister who performed the ceremony!

Denise and Dwight's Engagement

Denise and Dwight met when she was seven years old and he was fourteen. Their families were good friends. It was not until years later after they had made separate lives that once again they found each other.
I shot their engagement pictures in English Springs Park. I loved how Denise's dress stood out against the green and blue.

Dwight used to do some modeling in his younger days and he loved my camera.

I loved capturing their romance.

These pictures will be a slide show at their wedding.

Madai's Quinceañera

Madai 15th birthday was a beautiful event. I began by taking pictures of her purple dress in her purple room.

Madai loves purple!

Her mother laced up her dress and her sister helped her into her shoes.

We then went to Palomares Park. Madai's father is the pastor of Victory Outreach. He officiated the ceremony, along with other pastors.

Madai's friends each presented her with a rose and a verse from the BIble.

Pastor Zesati sermon stressed that every life had a purpose in this world. He said that his daughter's birth fifteen years ago had been a blessing. His sermon focused on how the young people in the room could succeed.

I took her formals just outside.

I used creative angels. Some of her pictures were actually taken in an alley.

And even though this looks like a small meadow of trees it was actually trees lined against a sidewalk.

Madai and her loving family were a pleasure to photograph.

Valerie and Adam's Wedding

They had a beautiful wedding and I was so happy to be there to capture all of their special moments. Valerie got ready at the Ayers Hotel in Diamond Bar.

Adam got ready at his home. My very talented second photographer Tyler did the "guy," shots.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Diamond Bar Center. Her flower girl timidly began walking down the aisle scanning to see who she knew. When she saw her grandfather she picked up her dress and ran towards him.

Valerie walked down the aisle to Mariachi music playing.

Valerie told me that the most important picture that I could get would be the expression on her fiancee's face which I did.

As always I asked that if possible an aisle seat be reserved for me so I could capture those great moments like the bride crying during those beautiful vows the groom wrote himself, the ring exchange and of course that first kiss as husband and wife.

Adam and Valerie were a beautiful couple to photograph. Their love lent themselves so easily to be photographed artistically.

Valerie and Adam were high school sweethearts. They are a fun couple who love to tease each other. Through their entire engagement shoot they were playful and happy. We took pictures in the city where they met-Diamond
Bar. We began in a beautiful field of trees and wild flowers.

We had fun playing with different poses.

I loved capturing their emotions and their love for one another.

From Diamond Bar we went to Chino Hills and once again their love was in every shot.

We ended our afternoon at In N Out, Valerie and Adam's favorite place to eat and hang out when they were dating where I treated them to lunch.

I can hardly wait for the wedding.

COLIN

Colin is a happy three year old who like most kids does not want to sit still and pose. My belief in children's photography is that kids should be having fun and enjoying themselves. I want to capture their natural smiles and emotions.

I take pictures and then combine them into one image that tell one story.

With props, I get kids to interact and I add special effects like color selection.

Trash the Dress!

I have happily been married for 19 years. My wedding dress was chosen with care and time. I treasured every detail it had: Lace, sequins, ruffles and a long train. After the wedding, I had it professionally cleaned and boxed. Now it lays inside that box, on a shelf in my garage. A modern alternative now is to trash the dress.
Trash the dress refers to photography of a beautiful wedding dress with an environment in which it is completely out of place. It is generally shot in the style of glossy beauty and glamour photography.
After the stress of the wedding day, and the relaxing honeymoon the bride or couple can once again take pictures showing off the beauty of the dress in dramatic pictures.
Usually brides decide to have pictures taken on the beach, but possibilities are endless. City streets, fields, waterfalls, and old buildings are all possible trash the dress locations.

Dolores & Trea

Dolores and Trea had a beautiful wedding at Tilden Park in Berkley, California.

As a guitar played, the bride was walked down the aisle by her proud sons to the awaiting arms of her soon to be husband.
The bride's father, Reverend Charles Gilchrist officiated the ceremony. A reading from the Song of Songs was read by Josh Kines, the grooms brother. A second reading from The First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians was read by the bride's aunt, Ann Gilchrist. Beautiful green trees and meadow served as the backdrop as the bride and groom exchanged vows.

After the wedding family and friends celebrated in the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park.

Maria & Javier

It was my honor to witness María and Javier's wedding as their photographer. Red roses, cream and sophisticated black were in every shot. They included children from both of their families as their attendants. They were a very casual and relaxed couple, who after their formals took pictures in front of the church carnival and as hitchhikers complete with a real bus.

Silvia

Silvia is a beautiful, bright and talented girl who had dazzling Quinceañera. I was so lucky to have been chosen to be her photographer.

Silvia is the eldest of four girls. She is a loving and caring sister who made sure that her little sisters were involved in the celebration. At the church, she thanked her parents for all their guidance and support.

The day of her Quinceañera, the heat soared to 107º. All of her friends had a blast playing in the fountain after the formal pictures. They danced a beautiful waltz and an incredible surprise dance.

Tears fell as she danced with her daddy, but the best part of the night was when Silvia took her father's guitar and played one of his songs. Silvia's father is a guitarist for the band, "Los Caminantes."

Clare & Jano

Clare was the most unique bride I have ever photographed. She wore a short wedding dress accented with pearls and a gold tiarra. Simplicity became elegance.

People flew in from different parts of the world and the nation to attend the anticipated Gannon-Cabrera Wedding. The church was packed.

The celebration included Mexican traditions as when Clare and Jano’s mothers placed the lazo around them.

The bride and groom exited the church to the ringing of cowbells.

The reception was held under a beautiful white tent. They were blessed with family, friends, and a gorgeous full moon.

The party held a democratic political theme. Both Clare and Jano worked as advisors and press secretaries for past presidential candidates. Guest wore political buttons. I was a proud supporter of the Clare & Jano ticket of 2008!
